Flights to Rawalpindi

Located near the Pothowar Plateau near Pakistan’s capital city Islamabad in the province of Punjab is the city of Rawalpindi. The city is home to many industries and factories. The Rawalpindi/Islamabad airport is actually located outside of Islamabad, closer to the city of Rawalpindi, in an area known as Chaklala. Being the main airport for the Pakistan capital it often hosts several flights to Rawalpindi. The city sees a host of officials and citizens from other nations. This airport is closer to Rawalpindi than to Islamabad. There are several flights to Rawalpindi that connects the city with the rest of the world.

Pakistan is host to more than 25 airlines from over 40 countries. Most of the flights arrive at Karachi but PIA, British Airways, Saudia and China Xinjiang Airlines fly to the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. PIA, Indian Airlines, Saudia and Thai Airways fly direct to Lahore. PIA has direct flights from the main Mediterranean and European cities as well as New York, Toronto and Nairobi.



It also runs a Far East Network from Tokyo, Beijing, Djakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. PIA also has international flights to Rawalpindi and Lahore from Tashkent and Almaty. Besides the international flights the city is also connected by domestic flights to Rawalpindi. PIA serves 38 domestic airports with scheduled connections including multiple daily flights between major cities of Punjab like Multan, Lahore, Islamabad/Rawalpindi and Peshawar. It has daily flights to Rawalpindi/Islamabad. Ethihad connects London to Islamabad/Rawalpindi as also does Brussels Airlines.

Reaching Rawalpindi has been made easy by the different airlines that have their regular flights to Rawalpindi. When you are in the city you can go around visiting the various sights it has to offer.
